Participant AI chat
Participants ask. Their plan answers.
An employee scans the custom QR code for their plan or enters their plan access code, then asks a question in their own words. What comes back is specific to their plan — drawn from the plan information you’ve loaded, not a generic article about 401(k)s.
What they ask
Questions participants ask — answered instantly.
- Am I eligible yet?
- Entry dates, service requirements, and when they actually enter.
- How much does my employer match?
- The formula as written in their plan, not a generic example.
- When am I vested?
- Their schedule and what it means for the balance they can keep.
- Can I take a loan?
- Whether the plan allows it, the limits, and how repayment works.
- How do I change my contribution?
- The exact method their recordkeeper supports.
- What are my investment options?
- The current lineup on their plan, not last year’s.
- How do I roll in an old 401(k)?
- The process and where the paperwork goes.
- What happens if I leave?
- Distribution options and the decisions in front of them.
Grounded
Grounded in the plan’s actual details.
Answers are assembled from the plan profile you created — eligibility and entry dates, the match formula, the vesting schedule, loan and distribution rules, the current investment lineup. For figures set outside the plan, like IRS contribution limits, it looks them up and tells the participant where the number came from.
Any language
In whatever language they ask.
Whatever language they ask in, that’s the language they get back — no separate site, no translated micro-copy, no second access code. For companies with a multilingual workforce, this can be a real selling point.
Escalation
Knows who to call.
When a participant needs a person, the assistant knows where to send them. Questions about plan provisions or anything relationship-related come to your desk. Transaction requests — changing a contribution, taking a loan, processing a distribution — go straight to the recordkeeper. You can also add standing instructions that shape how it answers for your clients.
Boundaries
What it is never given.
Your internal notes on a client or a plan are structurally excluded from everything the participant assistant can see. They are not filtered out at the end — they are never assembled into its context in the first place.
Participants reach their plan by scanning that plan’s custom QR code or entering its access code, and see only that plan. Nothing about another employer, another plan, or another firm is reachable from a participant session.
The full security posture →Try it against a plan you know.
Bring a plan to the demo, we will build its profile in front of you, and then ask the assistant the questions your participants actually ask. It is the quickest way to judge whether the answers hold up.
